I've now had 3 Powerbook Titanium adapters crap out on me. They all break where the computer plug meets the cord.
Can these things be fixed? Seems stupid to lose a whole adapter because of frayed wire.

Is it covered by Apple Care? This happened to me once and I was able to have it replaced.
I had this happen to me. The thin cable melted right where it entered the transformer. I picked up a new adapter, and it had something the original didn't: strain relief on the cable in that exact spot.
Did any of yours have the strain relief? I'm not sure how long they've been making them with that feature. The bigger cable on the adapter has always had strain relief on it, I don't know why they thought the little one didn't needed it.
Buy the MacAlley adapter. I really like them.
