Bob Wertheimer has asked me and the boys to do podcasts on CHARLIE JADE eps. 10-16; I think he's doing 1-9 and 17-20. They'll go out on XM Satellite Radio and be available online.
What questions would you like answered about these episodes, the world of the show, etc., in the podcasts?
(And if you're lurking on any CJ or sf forums, please direct people here.)

First of all, thanks for taking the time to do this for us. Three years later. I really hope something can be done for this amazingly awesome show to warrent a season 2... I'm going to rewatch those episodes. How long do we have to do this?
My first one would be:
Are they all in some kind of virtual world? Similar to The Matrix?
"That would be telling."
But really... of course they're in a virtual world. They're in a television show!
What makes you suspect they're in a virtual world?
At the beginning, I'd like to thank you for what you doing for us.
It's really great and I hope we'll live to see a second season.
1. How they travel by water
2. What about "Verse: Unknown" ? Is it the linkspace from the final episode?
Were there any other doppelgangers besides Jasmine/Paula?
Did J/P have a triple in Gammaverse?
If J/P was special in that way, why? Was her unique nature related to her closeness to Charlie? And if so, was it cause or effect?
While it's not apparent in the first batch of episodes (and therefore probably an idea from your team,) 01's behavior is radically different between the 'verses. Why doesn't anyone else's personality seem to change when they travel?
I'm holding back a few questions for our interview, but they're mostly process questions, anyway.
"That would be telling."
It would be wouldn't it ; )
What makes you suspect they're in a virtual world?
The grey suits say "This is something we didn't expect". It's repeated a few times.
Like when Neo chose to save Trinity rather than just Zion etc. It was like the system was expecting a certain outcome (Charlie to kill 01) but Charlie chose a different path... He's the first to go rogue just like Neo was. Charlie is beginning to wake up... 01 also makes references to Charlie about trying to wake up and escape.
01 says: I've played my part, why isn't he playing his? ... If he doesn't end it, we'll never get off this wheel. Why won't he end it?
^ Loop reference. 01 reminds me of Agent Smith. 01 has this whole "why do you persist attitude" like he does.
Reena telling Charlie theres no other way, (whatever is going to happen) that she's already did it. A prediction or loop? 01 tells Charlie he never had a choice but Charlie does. A lot choice references.
There are a lot of repeated phrases through out the show where someone is talking and it's repeated a 2nd time. A clue to looping? Not to mention the finale's episode title that means infinity. A circle, loop reference.
A lot of choices being made. 01 could have killed Charlie but he chose not to. 01 goes to shoot himself but tells Charlie he can't do it, it has to be him but Charlie doesn't which saves both of them creating a different path that they did not expect.
I hate to use The Matrix as an example it makes the show look less creative because the idea has been done before but it's the only thing close to what I think the show is. Of course, ideas have been used before, it's the journey that makes them different. I love the concept of virtual reality (Matrix was awesome) so it wouldn't bother me.
That or Charlie is in some kind of coma that is repeating itself and he's trying to wake up from it. And the "this we did not expect" line is a real world reference to Charlie being one step closer to achieving that goal.
Another questions:
3. The grey suits, what about them ?
Who are they ?
Are they from another universe ?
What is their agenda?
4. What about the blue glass ?
5. Who are the men who kidnapped and programmed Reena?
6. How are Charlie, 01 and Jody connected?
These questions make me want to give the show another watch - time to break out the DVDs again.
By the way, this is the official podcast website:

We want the crafty stuff Alex --
Breaking the stories.
How it was shot.
Production headaches and how you overcame them.
Question: Do you think there is still a chance for a season 2 or do you think that time has come and gone?
Yeah, I'd be more interested in the craft and inspiration side of things, myself. After watching the series 3 or 4 times, I've got an interpretation of things that I enjoy and, with all due respect, I wouldn't even want the writers to change it unless a 2nd+ season was created or, for some reason or another, the scripts were released or additional storyline was novelized or something.
Then again, that's how I generally like my relationship with writers and hopefully a relationship that I can have with an audience. You have your own interpretation and I have mine. Because sometimes, the audience can interpret my writing in ways more clever than I could ever dream up. ;b
OK. Now I've got a question:
Where can people in the Betaverse get the Vexcor ring tone for their cell phones? It's quite nice.
Somebody ought to be able to lift the ring tone from the DVD, no?
I'm still using the Global Frequency tone as my "you've got mail" alert in Apple Mail.
This question maybe coming a little late, but I was watching "Thicker than Water" last night and found myself wondering:
"Did 01 kill Guy or just kick the living crap out of the guy?"
I know it's not important or even consequential, at all, but CRAP, 01 really inflicted some massive punishment on Guy (especially after coming back from peaceful Gamma!). While watching it, I kept on coming up with all types of psychological hypotheses about the whole thing. . .but something like that much of a huge change from one universe to another, even if just a character thing, helps me see why other viewers might have seen 01's behavior in the different universes being more than acting differently.
Not until seeing this scene and just thinking about the whole series and 01's part in it got me to thinking about the perspective of some kind of physical or metaphysical change in 01 when he travels between universes.
But this is all the talk of a fanboy. My writer side can easily just go along without any explanation and live with it.
But damn, poor Guy. . .. ;b
Yeah. Poor guy. The great thing about doing a show is you get to vent. Guy was sort of a stand-in for someone who REALLY pissed someone on the show off...
Assuming this isn't too inside-baseball, when 01 finishes and says "this is for Nathan"...is that who got pissed off?
I'm just gonna leave it at that!
