This hysterical spot explains why those of us in the arts are terrified of a Tory Majority. It is almost certainly incomprehensible to anyone outside Canada. It is probably incomprehensible to anyone outside of Québec. But if you're assez bilingue, it is just very, very funny.

Phogue the Tory Majority but also phogue the stupid representation of Anglos/ROC in this video. Francos are sensitive, passionate, big hearted, misunderstood poets. Anglos are nerdy homophobic, unilingual moronic phoquing morons. What's the real message here?

I don't think they were taking potshots at Anglos here. I think they were taking potshots at narrow-minded homophobic evangelical unilingual Tory Anglos.

The Minister of Canadian Heritage and Status of Women and Minister for La Francophonie is Josée Verner, a Quebecer. The culture cuts wound every artist, writer, musician, dancer, etc. in Canada, not just Quebec. This video does not reflect this reality.
