This is probably what is going through the mind of your star as you craft a show for her.

I'm mostly with Rosanne on this one. Everyone wanted a network "Married With Children", while she wanted a lower-class "Cosby Show". They were probably both right on what would be successful, but everyone assumed Rosanne's take wouldn't. The only things I fault her for are not knowing her contract and not working with the pilot writer to construct the show.
Yeah, there's some math that doesn't add up.
"The show wasn't at all what I wanted" and "I created this show" don't really go together.
It's a little hard to imagine that no one told her how the system works. I'm inclined to think there might have been some things that people said that she didn't hear.
Not to say she wasn't mistreated, but it does feel from what she writes that she has a keenly honed sense of victimization, and not too much perspective on how she might have contributed to the situation.
To me, the most significant oversight is where she brags about firing the writers and replacing them with her friends who had never written TV before, and then almost immediately goes on to talk about how the show fell from the top ten.
Methinks there might be some causality there.
