Writing dialogue for a talking dolphin was certainly a frightening low-point though, in retrospect, not all that much different than writing for David Hasselhoff.
Lee Goldberg, quoted in Inkslinger
I love a good quote. I love to make them. I try so hard to avoid saying stuff like this. It always comes around to bite you in the butt again.
"Button up and tighten your lip
and keep a check on what you say.
'Cause those crazy words that fling from your mouth
will bounce back on you someday."
-- Howard Jones
Words I try to live by.
You mean I may not write for David Hasselhoff again?
"Lee Goldberg" and "dolphin" made me think of Flipper but that confused me, as I'm 99.9% sure Flipper didn't talk. But then I remembered Lee also wrote for Seaquest. I wonder if that's a record for writers working on shows featuring dolphins.
Actually, I think he's referring to Diagnosis Murder: The Lost Episodes.
Flipper's dialog may be underappreciated in America, but they LOVE his records in Germany...
