Dear faithful blog readers:
If you have read my new book, Crafty TV Writing, and you liked it, please feel free to post a review at Amazon.com!
or post a review at Powells to support the largest unionized bookstore in America.
I haven't seen it yet to read it, but when I do - it's done.
I just got it, and I've only read bits and pieces so far.
For what it's worth, the comments starting on p.182 about writing a spec script confirm and go beyond the spec script advice I've gotten from other industry people. Those comments by themselves justify the book purchase (at least for me).
Also, in general, I really like the carefully selected quotations from various successful TV writers.
But I need to finish it before I can say more.
Just got notified by Amazon that the my order has been delayed. A sign that it's selling well?
Okay, that's it! That's what I'm getting my want-to-be (not the derogatory wanna be) friend for his b-day Thursday.
Ugh.... still waiting on my copy from Amazon. Got this email yesterday.
"We wanted to let you know that there is a delay with some items in the order you placed on June 01 2006 17:01 PDT (Order# 104-6688600-5557525)."
Hopefully it will ship soon.
Victory is mine - I seem to have left the first Amazon comment on the book.
I will probably be rereading it shortly, and pressing into some collaborators' hands.
