article suggests you might want to listen to Ronald D. Moore's four hour recording
of his writer room in action.
They're breaking story. And they're letting you listen in. You wanted to know what it's like to be in the room? This is what it's like to be in the room working on BG.
The podcasts are pretty fine, too.
Look for the link to the Writer's Meeting. (I couldn't find the exact link. Anybody?)
UPDATE: See the comments for the correct links to the Writers Meeting. Thanks, guys!
The Writers' Room segments are part of the BSG podcast. So if you subscribe via a program like iTunes, you can see them and choose to download just those or the entire series.
For some reason they were taken off the Sci-Fi site, but can still be found on iTunes. Here they are (the link will open iTunes).
There are no direct links to the Writers' Room material on the SciFi BSG podcast website, which only link to episode commentaries.
Subscribe to the podcast using iTunes or use the RSS feed with something like Google Reader to get links to the audio files.
Using the latter method, I found:
Battlestar Galactica Writers Meeting, Pt. 1
Battlestar Galactica Writers Meeting, Pt. 2
Battlestar Galactica Writers Meeting, Pt. 3
These link to audio files in .M4A format.
I killed what would have been a dull afternoon of data entry by listening to that recording.
It does help a bit if you know the show - but they're still amazing.
You must have gotten Sci Fi's attention, because links to the Writer's Meetings have been added to the main menus for Seasons 2 and 3:
I listened to these when they were first posted, and they're excellent.
