Via Neil (Can anyone tell me what Brit show this is from? Stephen?)
Incidentally, if you are getting idiotic notes like this, it's possible you are dealing with an idiot. It is also possible that your story idea is not that compelling, either the way you pitched it, or intrinsically. All feedback is true for that viewer, even if their proposed solution is idiotic. And what the agent is saying is, "You're not grabbing me. Grab me."
Judging by the annoying laugh track, it's from That Mitchell and Webb Look, a borken comedy series featuring the stars of another wonderful Brit comedy series, Peep Show. Class.
They're also the guys from the UK Apple ads. They're much more effective than the American ads, since the PC character is actually somewhat annoying, rather than being quite lovable.
The Apple ads have Robert Webb representing the cool, stylish, laid-back Mac, while David Mitchell stands for the shambolic, disorganised, nerdy PC. But to my mind that whole concept has been undermined by Mitchell's string of appearances on panel games that have shown him to have of the sharpest comic brains in the business.
Mitchell and Webb have a movie out, MAGICIANS, which has some nice ideas in place but is probably a couple of drafts short of where it needs to be. They're the real thing, though, genuinely intelligent comic talents.
