OH THIS IS RICH

Reading the archives of A Writer's Life I discovered the tragicomic site, Don't Save Our Show, which is a petition by fans of West Wing to cancel it. Because they hate what it's become.

They should have sent out an email. It would have gone around the world. I'd have signed.

I'm enjoying this season of The West Wing and am glad that it's doing well in the ratings. It's not at all the same as when Sorkin was writing but it's still an engaging hour of TV. The changes made this season are interesting, if not all entirely believable. I don't know how they'd keep the show going if it comes back next year, but with NBC's current ratings so crappy at this point, NBC might want to get the show back next year somehow anyway.

Your link is broken.

The "Don't Save Our Show" movement has been around since Sorkin "left." Personally, I was never a fan of the show, so I didn't care.
