Seem to be some interesting things going on in Season One of The L Word (I've only got the first season on DVD up here). Is it my imagination, or did Shane fall in love with Cherie between eps 11 and 12? Did Jenny's husband start seeing someone else and then break up with her between 12 and 13? Did Jenny start having dinner with her husband somewhere in there? Or did I drop an episode.

In general I think the rule is that nothing important to the story can happen offscreen, but there's no rule that minor things can't happen offscreen. Is there?

Shane: I think she did fall in love off-screen. I remember watching that and going "Huh?" when she was suddenly in love.

Tim: He was involved with that girl on the swim team, right? I don't remember a break-up there, but then I don't remember them being too serious either.
