A friend of mine sends me this cheery news about the show I co-created:
XYZ gets Naked
Beginning early in 2006, Australian pay-TV network XYZ will air the first two seasons of a cheeky new Canadian drama series, after striking a deal with distributor CBC International.
XYZ picked up two seasons of Naked Josh (16x30') and plans to air the series early next year on Arena, its entertainment channel. "It will sit alongside big name properties in a new primetime schedule and it's a perfect fit for our general entertainment channel with a key audience appeal to young females," commented Deborah Huxley, XYZ’s director of acquisitions.
The XYZ deal follows CBC’s recent sale of the show to Cosmopolitan Channel, Spain. The series chronicles the love life of a sexual anthropology lecturer, and launched in June 2004 on Canadian channel Showcase, filling the Tuesday 21.00 slot. Produced by Montreal indie Cirrus Productions, it stars David Julian Hirsh (Leap Years).
Now if we can just get
Charlie Jade on the frikkin' SF Channel!

Congrats about Naked Josh making its debut on Australian TV next year, Alex. Gotta love those residuals, eh?
Congrats, Alex, maybe we'll get it down here in Africa some day - hey we got Traders and Da Vincis'Inquest and the one with the oh-so-in-touch-with-his-female-side mounty guy that Bob produced. And I second the frikking CJ thing.
