Lisa's book is finally out.
The Intrepid Art Collector is about how you, or someone you love who needs a Christmas present, can buy art on a regular person's budget. It covers everything from contemporary art to prints to photographs to art posters to Oriental rugs, and lays out what you're looking for and what you should watch out for. It's a nifty read, fits in your pocket, and will make you sound smart at parties. Buy it here, or check it out at your local bookstore.
Or come to her reading at Barnes and Noble in Greenwich Village (6th Ave & 8th) on Thursday at 7:30. Or come to her reading at Indigo in Montreal on the 2nd at 7.

Hey, that's awesome. Congratulations, Lisa. I hope the mini book tour goes smoothly.
Well done, Lisa! Anyone who has the fortitude to write a book and get it published is awesome. Have fun in NYC. I emailed as many people as I know in Manhattan about the reading.
Wow, thanks, Caroline. I really appreciate it.
Happy to help. I emailed about 35 people and asked them to pass it along. But, they are all tv types and you know how that goes ... some are still chained to their desks at that time of night, and some are just downright flaky. I especially emailed someone at Voom, because they have that HD channel (Gallery?) that covers art auctions and news items. I hope you have a great turnout! I love that you are encouraging people to own real art instead of just buying Ikea prints (not that they aren't OK too).
