I am not sure what mind mapping is, but this PDF page talks about how to do it for screenplays.

We did a fair bit of mind mapping while I was taking business management. It's a brainstorming tool, Basically like a free-form flow chart. Thought A connects to Thought B which connects to C, D, E (who also connects back to A).

This isn't something I could ever conceive using for writing but the concept of a visual pitching aid is somewhat interesting.

Alex - Thanks for posting my article and Mr. Mackey thanks for commenting, I wouldn't use Mindmaps for writing either but for planning and pitching I think they have some potential.

I will be doing a follow-up piece on Pitch Moviemaps to drill down a little more into this particular use of Mindmaps for screenwriters.

Then again, maybe I'll just become a painter instead as one of the other blog entries suggests....
